      In 1924 there were many changes for the Young family.
      Between 1912-1924 Henry & Frances continued to work with their son Charles and daughter Gertrude on the family farm located on lots #26 and Lot #28 Concession 4 in Goderich Township on Cutline Road near Porter's Hill between Highway #21 and Holmesville, Ontario.

      Then Gertrude B Young married Clarence Miller on 20 Aug 1924 moved to their farm near Seaforth, Ontario.

      Charles S Young married Alta Glazier on 18 Nov 1924 continued to farm the Young homestead farm.

      In 1924 Henry & Frances "officially" retired from the farm after Charles S Young & Alta Glazier married.
      Henry & Frances retired full time to their retirement home at 28 Trafalgar St., Goderich, Ontario.

      This home was built as the Cornerstone reads "Glen Eagle 1912". Unknown the significance of "Glen Eagle"
      Charles & Alta remained on the farm until 1947-48, when they moved to 34 Gloucester Terrace, Goderich into the red brick house owned by Louis Wild, located next to the Huron County Jail (Gaol).

    built by and for Henry Young and his wife Frances Wild in about 1912. Henry & Frances retired from their farm in Goderich Township between 1912-1924 when their son; Charles Young and his wife Alta Glazier assumed ownership of the family farm. Picture may have been taken in the 1920s with Henry and Frances on the front sidewalk of their home.

    their son Charles and daughter Gertrude helped their parents on the farm as children and adults until each married in 1924. His son Charlie Young & Glazier farmed this farm from 1925 to 1947. Gertrude moved to Seaforth with her new husband Clarence Miller to farm there. Henry & Frances retired to 28 Trafalgar St, Goderich, Ontario
