- Funeral took place from his late home in Stanley Township on Thursday January 17, 1929 at 9 o'clock a.m. thence to the St. Peter's R.C. Church, St. Joseph, Ontario at 10 o'clock a.m. for interment in St. Peter's Cemetery behind the above mentioned Church. Valentine lived to Age 62 years, 6 months and 7 days. RIP
- Lake Road East, Sauble Line, Bluewater Highway 21, Lot 1 East part: Joseph Wild, born in 1825 in Germany, came to Canada in 1846.
He came to Stanley Township in 1847 and obtained his deed to the farm shortly after. His wife, Freda Bickle was born in Germany in 1835. They were Roman Catholic. Part of their house was built in 1870 and was added on to in 1898 (some 28 years later).
John Joseph Wild died Feb 1900 and Valentine Wild took possession in 1900 upon his father's death. Valentine married Bridget Agnes O'Sullivan in 1907.
Upon Valentine's passing, Agnes took over the farm in 1929. In 1948 the farm was passed to their son John P. Wild and his wife Anne Bedard.
John and Anne passed the farm was passed to Joseph Peter Wild in 1986.
In 2015 the Farm Barn was tore down leaving the historic house and some small out buildings.
This farm has been in the family for well over a century; celebrating 174 years in 2021 and will be celebrating 175 years in 2022.
