      Carl A. Wild was born to John and Louuisa Wild July 6, 1902 at Milton. He attended University High at Grand Forks and Coyne Trade and Engineering School in Chicago before entering the radio and electrical business in Milton in 1929. In 1931 Carl and Lawrence Wild purchased the Star Theatre and operated the first Sound on Film in that area. The business was operated until 1947 when the competition of television made it necessary to discontinue. Carl married Dorothy E. Strand of Milton at Park River Feb 3, 1931. Dorothy received her elementary education in Milton and Osnabrock and graduated from Milton. After graduation in 1928 from Valley City STC she taught rural schools for three years. The family moved to Langdon in December 1947. Carl was manager of Cavalier Rural Electric for 25 1/2 years until he retired in 1971. They have four boys and one girl.

      Langdon, N.D. -- Carl A. Wild, 89, Langdon, died Sunday, June 28, 1992, in United Hospital, Grand Forks.

      Carl A. Wild was born July 6, 1902, in Milton, N.D., the son of John and Louisa Wild. He attended Coyne Trade and Engineering school in Chicago. He returned to the Milton area and started an electrical business, and he also owned and operated the Star Theatre with his brother, Lawrence, until 1947. He married Dorothy Strand in Park River on Feb 3, 1931. In 1947, they moved to Langdon, where he managed the Cavalier Rural Electric Co-op for 25 1/2 years until he retired in 1971. He continued to do electrical contracting until his death.

      Survivors are his wife; sons, Carl Jr., Lake Tahoe, Calif, Leon L., Spokane, Wash., Larry, Fargo, and Paul R., Grand Forks; a daughter, Janet (Mrs. Richard) Cota, Indianapolis, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by brothers, Leo, Joseph, William, and Lawrence, and sisters, Marguerite Wilson, Kathleen Otto, and twin sister Mary Wild.
